Hip-hop fans will not want to miss this upcoming event! Rap superstar J. Cole will hit the Infinite Energy Arena on August 12th as part of his KOD tour.
J. Cole has enjoyed a steady rise to the top of the charts since releasing his initial mixtape, The Come Up, shortly after graduating college in 2007. The Warm Up, Cole’s second mixtape, followed two years later. The aspiring rapper caught the ear of rap mogul Jay-Z after one of his singles fell into the lap of producer Mark Pitts.
Cole was soon signed to Roc Nation and began lending guest verses to various artists’ tracks. He released a few more singles before accompanying headliners Rihanna and Drake on tour, which helped to increase his fanbase.
The rapper has since released a number of successful albums, including Cole World: The Sideline Story, Born Sinner, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, 4 Your Eyez Only, and, most recently, KOD.
